Greetings all,
OK, I looked at my profile today for the first time in ages, and noticed that, although I signed up here several years ago, I haven't actually posted anything yet. I created the blog with the initial intention of making it predominantly Irish-themed, chronicling my researches into my family tree and my progress in learning to speak Gaeilge Uladh (Ulster Irish). Unfortunately, my progress in both of these areas has been fraught with problems, not least of which is my lack of aptitude for acquiring new languages (I'm learning several others in addition to Irish).
This is probably a good time to mention that the blog title is a pun that you won't get unless you speak Irish. Even then, however, it's not particularly funny, so I won't elaborate at this stage.
Anyway, I'll very likely cover all sorts of subjects in this blog, as and when I decide what to write about.
